Dodgers Playoff Transportation to Dodger Stadium: Skip the Parking and Ride With Thomas Transportation

October baseball is here in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the MLB postseason, and Dodger Stadium is once again one of the centerpieces of October baseball. Whether you’re heading to a Dodgers playoff game, meeting friends for a night at the ballpark, entertaining clients or bringing the entire family, getting to and from Dodger Stadium can be almost as important as the game itself.

Traffic around Dodger Stadium, Downtown Los Angeles and the surrounding freeways can become extremely busy before and after major Dodgers games — especially during the 2026 MLB Playoffs. That’s where Thomas Transportation can help. We provide private transportation to Dodger Stadium and throughout Southern California, giving Dodgers fans an alternative to driving themselves, dealing with game-day parking or coordinating multiple vehicles.

Private Transportation to Dodgers Games

Thomas Transportation provides prearranged private transportation for Dodgers fans traveling from throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.

Whether you're coming from Pasadena, Glendora, San Dimas, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Hollywood, South Bay, Long Beach, Anaheim or Orange County, we can help coordinate your ride to Dodger Stadium.

Our fleet options include:

Private minivans for individuals, couples and families
Black SUVs for premium Dodgers game transportation
Transit vans for groups
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans for larger groups and special occasions
Luxury sedans for executive and corporate transportation
Larger group transportation options available through our transportation network

Instead of worrying about who is driving, navigating game-day congestion or finding everyone after the game, your group can travel together with a scheduled pickup plan.

Dodgers Playoffs 2026: Los Angeles Is Ready for October

The Dodgers entered October once again competing on baseball's biggest stage. The 2026 National League Division Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves opened at Dodger Stadium, with Los Angeles taking Game 1 before Atlanta evened the series in Game 2. The series then moves to Atlanta, with a potential deciding Game 5 scheduled to return to Dodger Stadium on October 9.

For Dodgers fans, that means the excitement surrounding Chavez Ravine is only getting bigger. Whether it's the NLDS, NLCS or a potential World Series run, playoff games can create some of the heaviest event traffic of the year around Dodger Stadium. Booking transportation in advance is especially important for postseason games.

Going to See Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers?

For baseball fans visiting Southern California, seeing the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium has become one of the signature Los Angeles experiences. With stars such as Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers competing in October, fans travel from across California, across the country and around the world to experience postseason baseball in Los Angeles.

Thomas Transportation can help visitors coordinate transportation between:

LAX and Dodger Stadium
Burbank Airport and Dodger Stadium
Los Angeles hotels and Dodger Stadium
Anaheim and Dodger Stadium
Pasadena and Dodger Stadium
Santa Monica and Dodger Stadium
Long Beach and Dodger Stadium

We also provide airport transfers for travelers who want to combine a Dodgers game with their Southern California vacation.

Dodgers Transportation for Families

Taking the kids to a Dodgers game? Thomas Transportation offers transportation options designed for families traveling around Los Angeles. Child seating options can be requested in advance, including forward-facing child seats and booster seats.

That can be especially convenient for families flying into Southern California who don't want to bring their own car seats, rent a vehicle and then deal with Dodger Stadium traffic and parking. Bring the jerseys, hats and Dodger blue. We'll handle the ride.

Group Transportation to Dodger Stadium

Dodgers games are better with a group. If you're planning a birthday, family outing, company event, bachelor or bachelorette trip, client entertainment or just getting a group of friends together for the game, Thomas Transportation offers several group transportation options.

Our Transit Vans and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans make it possible for groups to travel together rather than coordinating several separate cars or rideshares. For larger groups, additional vehicle options may also be available.

Corporate and Executive Transportation for Dodgers Games

A Dodgers game can also be a great way to entertain clients, reward employees or bring a team together. Thomas Transportation provides corporate transportation and executive black car service in Los Angeles, including private transportation to sporting events at Dodger Stadium and other major Southern California venues.

Your transportation can be scheduled in advance with professional communication before your trip so your guests know what to expect.

Coming From LAX to a Dodgers Game?

If you're flying into Los Angeles specifically to see the Dodgers, Thomas Transportation also provides private LAX airport transportation. We monitor arriving flights and coordinate airport pickup so travelers can continue on to a hotel, Downtown Los Angeles or another Southern California destination.

For visitors building a full Los Angeles itinerary, transportation can also be arranged for destinations including Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, cruise ports and major sporting venues.

Don't Let Dodger Stadium Traffic Ruin the Ninth Inning

One of the best parts about booking private transportation is knowing your ride home is already planned. Instead of spending the final innings thinking about parking lots, traffic or arranging a last-minute ride, enjoy the game. Cheer for the Dodgers. Stay for the ninth.

And let Thomas Transportation help with the journey.

Book Dodgers and Dodger Stadium Transportation

Planning a trip to an upcoming Los Angeles Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium? Thomas Transportation would be happy to be of service.

We provide private transportation throughout Los Angeles and Southern California for Dodgers games, MLB playoff games, concerts, airport transfers, corporate travel, family transportation and group events.

Is Uber Really Cheaper? Uber Pricing vs. Fixed-Rate Private Transportation in Southern California

Is Uber Really Cheaper? Uber Pricing vs. Fixed-Rate Private Transportation in Southern California

“I’ll just get an Uber. It’ll probably be $20.”

We’ve all heard some version of that.

And sometimes it’s true. For a short trip at the right place and time, rideshare can be inexpensive and incredibly convenient.

But there is a misconception worth examining:

Is Uber always cheaper than reserving private transportation?

Not necessarily.

At Thomas Transportation, we’ve had customers tell us—and even mention in reviews—that our scheduled transportation was less expensive than the rideshare options they were seeing.

But there’s an even bigger issue.

Price isn’t just about what a ride costs. It’s about what you receive for that price, how predictable that price is, and what happens when you actually need help.

For an important trip to LAX, Disneyland, a cruise terminal, a business meeting, hotel, concert or sporting event, those differences can matter.

The $20 Uber Isn’t Always $20

Uber uses dynamic pricing.

According to Uber, pricing can incorporate factors including estimated time and distance, traffic, route and demand. During periods when rider demand exceeds available drivers, prices can increase.

That’s commonly known as surge pricing .

Rush hour.

Major concerts and sporting events.

Holidays.

Busy airport periods.

Large conventions.

Bad weather.

Theme-park closing times.

These are exactly the situations when thousands of people may need transportation at approximately the same time.

Uber’s technology is specifically designed to respond to those real-time market conditions.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with that model.

But it is a different model from scheduling private transportation in advance.

The Important Question Isn’t “What Does Uber Cost?”

It’s:

What will transportation cost for my actual trip when I actually need it?

If you’re planning a Southern California vacation two months from now, you can open a rideshare app today and get an idea of pricing.

But that doesn’t necessarily tell you what market conditions will look like when your family lands at LAX two months from now.

Thomas Transportation allows you to arrange the transportation ahead of time.

You know the transportation you’re planning.

You know the vehicle you’ve reserved.

And you know the rate associated with that reservation.

For many travelers, predictability itself has value.

Sometimes Private Transportation Can Actually Cost Less

There’s another assumption we frequently hear:

Private transportation must automatically be more expensive than Uber.

It isn’t always.

We’ve had customers compare their available rideshare options with Thomas Transportation and discover that our price was competitive with—or sometimes lower than—the rideshare price they were seeing.

This can become particularly relevant during high-demand travel periods.

But we don’t believe travelers should compare transportation based solely on one number.

The better comparison is:

Same pickup. Same destination. Same day. Same time. Same passengers. Same luggage. Same vehicle needs.

Then ask:

What am I actually receiving for that price?

That’s where the comparison becomes much more interesting.

You’re Not Just Reserving a Vehicle

When you reserve with Thomas Transportation, you’re arranging a transportation service designed around your actual trip.

Depending on the journey, that experience can include:

• Advance scheduling

• A reserved vehicle appropriate for your party, from smaller private vehicles to larger Transit vans accommodating up to 10 passengers

• Transportation planning for families and larger groups who want to travel together instead of splitting into multiple vehicles

• Additional planned stops for groceries, travel supplies, meals, or even a Southern California favorite such as In-N-Out

• Customized transportation for groups, sightseeing, attractions, and destinations you’d like to experience along the way

• Live human dispatch

• Driver information before pickup

• Communication before, during and after your journey

• Live vehicle tracking

• Flight tracking

• Cruise tracking

• Airport curbside pickup coordination

• Luggage assistance

• Child safety seats by advance request

• A transportation company you can actually contact when something changes

For families and groups, that can be an important difference.

Instead of splitting parents, grandparents, children, friends, and luggage among several separate rideshare vehicles, Thomas Transportation can help plan a vehicle that allows your group to travel together whenever passenger capacity and luggage requirements allow.

That’s especially useful for airport transfers, Disneyland vacations, cruise transportation, weddings, family reunions, sporting events, concerts, and other Southern California trips where the journey itself is part of the experience.

Your transportation can be planned around your journey, not simply your pickup and destination.

We embrace technology.

In fact, some of the technology people appreciate about rideshare is technology we provide too.

But we believe technology works best when it’s backed by real human service.

Yes, You Can Watch Your Thomas Transportation Vehicle Arrive

One of the best innovations rideshare brought to transportation was the ability to watch your vehicle approach.

We provide live vehicle tracking as well.

Before pickup, Thomas Transportation customers receive driver information and a live tracking link so they can follow their vehicle’s progress toward the pickup location.

The difference is that there’s also a transportation operation behind that vehicle.

If something changes, you aren’t limited to watching a dot on a screen.

You have live human dispatch available to communicate with you and your driver.

Before the trip.

During the trip.

And when necessary, after the trip.

That’s part of what we mean when we talk about providing transportation with the human touch.

Airport Transportation Starts Before Your Plane Lands

Consider a family arriving at Los Angeles International Airport.

They may have been traveling for hours.

There are children, suitcases, carry-ons and perhaps a stroller.

Maybe it’s their first time at LAX.

With Thomas Transportation, the transportation process doesn’t suddenly begin when the passenger opens an app outside the terminal.

We’ve already been preparing for the pickup.

We monitor flight information for scheduled airport transportation so our dispatch and driver team can respond appropriately when arrival information changes.

At LAX, our standard curbside pickup process allows customers to collect their luggage, proceed outside to their terminal’s designated pickup pillar and coordinate with their driver.

Your transportation has already been arranged.

Cruise Transportation Requires Planning Too

The same concept applies to cruise travel.

Thomas Transportation provides private cruise transportation serving the Los Angeles World Cruise Center in San Pedro and the Long Beach cruise terminals , including transportation connecting Southern California airports, hotels, homes and cruise ports.

For scheduled cruise transportation, we can monitor relevant cruise arrival information and coordinate service accordingly.

That can be particularly valuable when transporting families or groups with multiple passengers and significant luggage.

Your cruise transportation shouldn’t have to become another problem to solve when you step off the ship.

Traveling With Children Changes the Transportation Equation

For families, comparing transportation becomes even more important when child safety seats are involved.

Uber currently offers Uber Car Seat in Los Angeles. According to Uber’s current information, the service must be reserved and vehicles are currently equipped with one car seat per vehicle.

Uber also states that the parent or caregiver is responsible for inspecting the seat for proper installation and properly securing the child.

Thomas Transportation takes a hands-on, advance-planning approach to family transportation.

Child safety seats can be requested when making a reservation, subject to availability. Families traveling with multiple young children can tell us what they need so we can determine the appropriate vehicle and child-seat arrangement before the trip.

Our child safety seats are maintained and cleaned according to applicable manufacturer guidance. Drivers who handle our seats receive onboarding and guidance regarding their handling and installation, with operational oversight.

Our drivers can assist with installation and setup, while the child’s parent or guardian always retains final authority . Parents are welcome to inspect the installation, request adjustments, determine how they want the seat positioned and personally secure their child.

We’re a family-owned transportation company.

When we’re transporting someone else’s family, that means something to us.

We will be exploring this topic in greater detail in our upcoming guide to Uber Car Seat vs. private transportation with child seats in Los Angeles.

Sometimes Great Service Is as Simple as Getting Out of the Vehicle

Technology can tell you that your vehicle has arrived.

It can’t make someone care.

Picture arriving outside with several pieces of luggage.

Does your driver greet you?

Do they get out of the vehicle?

Do they help with your bags?

Do they communicate with you?

If something isn’t right, is there someone you can contact?

These seem like little things—until you’re standing on a curb with children, luggage or an important schedule.

Our service expectation is straightforward:

Thomas Transportation drivers should greet our passengers, communicate professionally and assist with luggage.

The journey doesn’t begin when the wheels start moving.

It begins when we meet you.

Reserve Early. You Don’t Have to Wait Until the Last Minute.

There’s another advantage to planning transportation in advance.

You can get it off your to-do list.

If you’re traveling next month—or several months from now—you’re welcome to reserve your Thomas Transportation service in advance and get your transportation scheduled.

Under our standard reservation policy, payment is generally processed approximately 24 hours before the scheduled pickup.

We also understand that travel plans change.

Under our standard cancellation policy, customers receive a 1 00% refund when canceling at least four hours before their scheduled pickup.

That flexibility means you don’t necessarily have to wait until the last minute to arrange an important part of your trip.

Reserve it. Schedule it. And have one less thing to worry about.

Uber and Private Transportation Don’t Always Serve the Same Need

This isn’t an argument that Uber doesn’t have a purpose.

It absolutely does.

If you’re traveling a few blocks to dinner and want transportation right now, rideshare can be an incredibly useful option.

But consider these trips:

Your family lands at LAX with two children, car-seat requirements, a stroller and six pieces of luggage.

Your extended family wants to travel together from LAX to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim instead of separating into several vehicles.

You’re disembarking from a cruise in San Pedro with a family or group and everyone’s luggage.

You’re attending a major concert or sporting event where thousands of people may request transportation simultaneously.

You’re arranging transportation for an executive who needs to arrive at an important meeting.

Those aren’t necessarily the same transportation problem as getting a quick ride across town.

When the transportation itself matters, planning, communication, accountability and service matter too.

Uber vs. Thomas Transportation: What’s the Difference?

Uber is an on-demand rideshare platform whose pricing can vary based on factors including trip characteristics and real-time demand.

Thomas Transportation is a Southern California private transportation company providing scheduled airport, Disneyland, cruise, event, corporate, family and group transportation.

Our service combines modern transportation technology with live human support, including services such as live dispatch, driver communication, live vehicle tracking, flight and cruise tracking, luggage assistance and child safety seats by advance request.

For travelers comparing Uber with private transportation, the better question isn’t simply:

“Which number is lower on my phone right now?”

Ask:

Can I plan around this price?

Do I know what vehicle I’m getting?

Can my family or group travel together?

Will it accommodate my passengers and luggage?

Can my family’s child-seat needs be arranged in advance?

Will someone monitor my flight or cruise?

Will someone help with our luggage?

Can I track my vehicle?

Can I speak with a real person when something changes?

And who is responsible for making sure my transportation actually works?

That’s a much more meaningful transportation comparison.

Los Angeles Transportation With Car Seats: A Parent’s Guide to LAX, Disneyland & Southern California

Los Angeles Transportation With Car Seats: A Parent’s Guide to LAX, Disneyland & Southern California

Traveling with children can create some of the best family memories.

But getting everyone from the airport to the hotel, Disneyland, a cruise terminal, or another Southern California destination can sometimes be one of the most stressful parts of the trip.

There’s the luggage.

The stroller.

The backpacks.

The flight schedule.

The tired toddler.

And then there’s one of the biggest questions parents face when arranging transportation:

What are we going to do about the car seats?

For families flying into Los Angeles or Orange County, that question matters.

Bringing your own child safety seats can mean carrying another large piece of equipment through the airport, baggage claim, hotels, attractions and eventually all the way home again.

And if you planned on simply requesting a rideshare with car seats after you arrive, your options may be much more limited than you expect.

That’s where planning family transportation before the trip begins can make a significant difference.

Thomas Transportation provides private family transportation with child safety seats available by advance request throughout Los Angeles, Anaheim, Orange County and surrounding Southern California communities.

Whether your family is traveling from LAX to Disneyland, an airport to a cruise terminal, a hotel to a theme park, or another Southern California destination, we can plan transportation around your children, passengers, luggage, stroller and actual travel needs.

Our goal is simple:

Comfortable. Safe. Reliable.

And when we're transporting families, those words mean even more.

Traveling With Kids Requires a Different Kind of Transportation Planning

An adult traveling alone may only need to answer one question:

How do I get from Point A to Point B?

Parents are solving a much bigger puzzle.

How many adults are traveling?

How many children?

What are their ages?

How many child safety seats are needed?

Do you need a five-point harness seat or booster?

How much luggage are you bringing?

Are you bringing a stroller?

Is it a compact stroller or a large double stroller?

Are grandparents traveling with you?

Can everyone — and everything — comfortably fit into one vehicle?

Suddenly, transportation isn't simply about finding an available car.

It's about finding the right transportation setup for your family.

A vehicle that technically accommodates five or six passengers may not necessarily accommodate those same passengers comfortably once you add multiple child seats, several large suitcases, carry-ons and a stroller.

That's why Thomas Transportation looks at more than passenger count.

We consider:

Passengers + child seats + luggage + equipment + destination.

Planning those details ahead of time can prevent a lot of unnecessary stress when travel day arrives.

Los Angeles Transportation With Car Seats

One of the most common questions parents have when planning a Southern California vacation is:

Do we have to bring our own car seats?

Some families prefer to bring them.

Others would much rather leave them at home.

There isn't one answer that works for every family.

Thomas Transportation offers child safety seats by advance request, subject to availability, allowing families to discuss their child-seat requirements when arranging their transportation.

Families traveling with multiple young children can tell us what they need ahead of time so the appropriate vehicle and child-seat arrangement can be discussed before the trip.

Our drivers can assist with installation and setup, while the child's parent or guardian retains final authority. Parents are welcome to inspect the installation, request adjustments, determine how they want the seat positioned and personally secure their child.

We're a family-owned transportation company.

When we're transporting someone else's family, that means something to us.

Rideshare With Car Seats in Los Angeles: What Parents Should Know

Rideshare can be incredibly convenient.

But rideshare with car seats is a very different situation from requesting an ordinary ride.

Parents shouldn't assume that they can land in Los Angeles, open any rideshare app and simply request a vehicle equipped with however many child safety seats their family requires.

Does Lyft Offer Car Seats in Los Angeles?

Lyft does not currently offer its dedicated Car Seat ride type in Los Angeles.

Lyft's dedicated Car Seat service is currently limited geographically, so Los Angeles families should plan on supplying their own appropriate child restraint when using Lyft rather than expecting a Lyft vehicle to arrive equipped with one.

Does Uber Offer Car Seats in Los Angeles?

Uber does offer an Uber Car Seat product in Los Angeles.

However, there are important limitations parents should understand.

Uber's current Car Seat service in Los Angeles is a Reserve product , meaning parents select the Car Seat option and schedule a pickup date and time. Uber states that its Car Seat vehicles are currently equipped with one car seat per vehicle .

That last part becomes especially important for families traveling with two or more young children.

If Mom and Dad arrive with two children who both require child restraints, one Uber Car Seat vehicle does not provide two supplied seats.

Uber's own LAX transportation information also cautions passengers that drivers are not guaranteed to have car seats available and that riders may provide their own.

That doesn't mean rideshare isn't useful.

It means families who require child seats should understand the limitations and plan accordingly rather than assuming the necessary seats will be waiting when they arrive .

________________________________________

The Thomas Transportation Difference: Plan the Car Seats Before You Arrive

Thomas Transportation takes a different approach.

We plan your family's child-seat needs before the trip begins.

When making your reservation, tell us:

How many children are traveling?

What are their ages?

What child-seat or booster-seat requirements do you have?

How many adults are traveling?

How much luggage are you bringing?

Are you bringing a stroller?

Where are you going?

Subject to availability, we can then coordinate an appropriate vehicle and child-seat arrangement before your family arrives at LAX, heads to Disneyland, leaves for a cruise or begins another Southern California journey.

For a family traveling with multiple young children, that's an important difference.

Don't arrive and start figuring out how everyone is getting there. Plan the family transportation before you leave home.

LAX Transportation With Car Seats

Los Angeles International Airport can feel overwhelming even for experienced travelers.

Add children, suitcases, carry-ons and a stroller, and transportation becomes something most parents would probably rather have figured out before the plane lands.

Thomas Transportation provides scheduled private transportation serving Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with child safety seats available by advance request.

For scheduled airport transportation, we monitor flight information so our dispatch and driver team can respond appropriately when arrival information changes.

Before pickup, customers receive driver information and live vehicle tracking so they can follow their vehicle's progress.

At LAX , our standard curbside pickup process allows customers to collect their luggage, proceed outside to their terminal's designated pickup pillar and coordinate with their driver.

Your transportation isn't beginning when you step outside the airport.

We've already been preparing for your arrival.

Your reservation is scheduled.

Your destination is documented.

Your child-seat requirements have been discussed.

Your passenger and luggage requirements can be considered.

And there is a live transportation operation behind the vehicle if something changes.

For parents traveling with young children, that preparation can provide something extremely valuable:

Peace of mind.

________________________________________

LAX to Disneyland With Car Seats

For families visiting Southern California, one trip deserves special attention:

LAX to Disneyland with car seats.

It's one of those transportation situations where planning ahead can make a tremendous difference.

Imagine arriving at LAX after several hours on an airplane.

Two adults.

Two young children.

Four suitcases.

Three carry-ons.

A stroller.

And two kids who are officially finished with airports for the day.

Now you have to get everyone approximately 30 miles across Southern California to Anaheim.

If both children require child restraints, simply requesting whatever vehicle happens to be available may not be the easiest solution.

Thomas Transportation provides scheduled private transportation between LAX and Disneyland Resort/Anaheim, including transportation options for families traveling with children, luggage, strollers and child-seat requests.

Before you leave home, we can discuss:

Your passenger count.

Your children's needs.

The number of requested child seats.

Your luggage.

Your stroller.

And the appropriate vehicle for your family.

Depending on those requirements, Thomas Transportation offers vehicle options ranging from our Express Class minivans and private SUVs to Transit vans and larger transportation options .

Then, when your family arrives in Los Angeles, the transportation plan already exists.

Collect the family.

Collect the bags.

Meet your driver.

And head toward Anaheim.

Because after a long travel day, the next transportation question your children want to ask probably isn't:

"How are we getting there?"

It's:

"When are we going to Disneyland?"

________________________________________

Disneyland Transportation With Car Seats

Transportation needs don't necessarily end once your family reaches Anaheim.

Families visiting Disneyland may also want private transportation between their hotel and other Southern California destinations, including:

● Disneyland Resort

● Disney California Adventure

● Downtown Disney

● Anaheim-area hotels

● Knott's Berry Farm

● Universal Studios Hollywood

● Los Angeles attractions

● Southern California beaches

● Restaurants

● Sporting events

● Concerts

● Airports

● Cruise terminals

Private transportation can be particularly useful for families who want to explore Southern California without renting and driving a vehicle for their entire vacation.

You can arrange transportation for the trips where you need it while enjoying the rest of the vacation without worrying about navigating unfamiliar freeways, parking or keeping a rental vehicle for days when you may not use it.

Why Some Parents Don't Want to Fly With Car Seats

There are plenty of situations where bringing your own child safety seat makes sense.

But anyone who has walked through an airport with young children knows how quickly the equipment adds up.

Imagine:

Two children.

Four suitcases.

Three carry-ons.

A diaper bag.

A stroller.

One car seat.

Maybe two car seats.

And a toddler who has suddenly decided that walking is no longer an activity they participate in.

You're carrying half your house through the airport before the vacation even starts.

For families who prefer not to travel with their own seats, having the ability to request child safety seats with scheduled private transportation can eliminate some of that equipment from the journey.

Instead of hoping you'll find the transportation setup you need after landing, you can discuss it before you leave home .

________________________________________

Car Seats, Booster Seats, Strollers and Luggage

Passenger count is only part of choosing the right family transportation vehicle.

This is something travelers sometimes underestimate.

Child seats occupy space.

So do people.

And luggage.

And strollers.

A compact folding stroller may take up relatively little cargo space.

A large double stroller is a different story.

Neither is necessarily a problem.

We simply need to know about it.

That's why our reservation team may ask questions beyond:

"How many passengers?"

We may also ask:

How many adults?

How many children?

What are the children's ages?

How many child seats or boosters are requested?

How many large suitcases?

How many carry-ons?

Are you bringing a stroller?

Are there any oversized items?

Those details allow us to recommend transportation based on the actual trip, rather than passenger count alone.

________________________________________

What About Rental Cars?

Rental vehicles are another option for families visiting Los Angeles and Anaheim.

If you're planning to drive frequently throughout your vacation, renting a vehicle may make sense.

But it also means considering:

Airport rental-car transportation.

Rental counters.

Child-seat arrangements.

Hotel parking.

Theme-park parking.

Fuel.

Traffic.

Navigation.

And returning the vehicle before your flight home.

Some families decide they'd rather leave the driving to someone else.

If much of your vacation will be spent at Disneyland, aboard a cruise, at a resort, or visiting a handful of planned destinations, private transportation may eliminate the need to rent a vehicle for the entire trip.

There is no universal best answer.

The goal is to choose the option that works for your family and your trip.

Southern California Airport Transportation for Families

LAX isn't the only airport serving families visiting Southern California.

Thomas Transportation provides scheduled private airport transportation serving major airports including:

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Ontario International Airport (ONT)

John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

Depending on your destination, another Southern California airport may actually be more convenient.

Families visiting Disneyland and Anaheim frequently use John Wayne Airport, while families traveling to portions of the Inland Empire may find Ontario International Airport convenient.

Whatever airport you're using, providing your airline and flight information allows your transportation to be planned around the actual journey.

Cruise Transportation With Car Seats

Southern California family vacations don't always end at Disneyland.

Sometimes Disneyland is only the beginning.

Thomas Transportation provides private cruise transportation serving the L os Angeles World Cruise Center in San Pedro and the Long Beach cruise terminals , including transportation connecting Southern California airports, hotels, homes and cruise ports.

For some families, that means coordinating an entire journey:

Airport → Hotel

Hotel → Disneyland

Disneyland/Anaheim → Cruise Terminal

Cruise Terminal → Airport

Families traveling with children can discuss child-seat needs when making their reservations.

Larger families may also benefit from Transit vans, Sprinter options or other group transportation depending on passenger count, luggage requirements and availability.

Keeping everyone together can be much easier than dividing parents, children, grandparents and luggage among several vehicles.

Family transportation isn't always just parents and kids.

Southern California vacations frequently include grandparents and extended family.

That makes vehicle planning even more important.

An appropriately sized private vehicle may allow the family to travel together rather than separating into multiple rides, depending on passenger count, child-seat requirements and luggage.

That can make airport arrivals, Disneyland vacations, cruise departures, weddings, family reunions and sightseeing days much easier to coordinate.

And the family experience doesn't have to stop every time everyone leaves the hotel.

________________________________________

A More Human Approach to Family Transportation

Technology has made transportation easier.

We embrace it.

Thomas Transportation provides many of the conveniences travelers expect from modern transportation, including driver information, live vehicle tracking, flight monitoring and communication throughout the transportation process .

But technology works best when there are real people behind it.

Maybe your flight changes.

Maybe the stroller is larger than expected.

Maybe Grandpa needs a little extra time getting into the vehicle.

Maybe your child had a difficult flight.

Maybe you can't immediately locate your pickup area.

Maybe something about the trip simply changed.

That's travel.

Having live human dispatch available means there is someone who can communicate with you and your driver when circumstances change.

Technology should make transportation easier.

The human touch is what helps when travel doesn't go exactly according to plan.

Tips for Booking Los Angeles Transportation With Car Seats

When arranging family transportation, provide as much information as possible in advance.

1. Total passenger count — Include adults and children.

2. Children's ages — This helps us understand your family's transportation needs.

3. Child-seat requirements — Tell us what type of child restraint you need or whether you're

bringing your own.

4. Luggage — Include an approximate number of checked bags, carry-ons, backpacks and oversized items.

5. Strollers — Let us know, particularly if you're bringing a double or oversized stroller.

6. Flight information — For airport transportation, provide your airline and flight number.

7. Exact destination — Hotel, residence, Disneyland Resort property, cruise terminal or another destination.

8. Special requirements — The earlier we know about them, the easier it is to plan appropriately.

A short conversation before the trip can prevent a lot of unnecessary stress on travel day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Los Angeles Transportation With Car Seats

Does Thomas Transportation provide child safety seats?

Yes. Child safety seats are available by advance request, subject to availability. Families should provide their child-seat requirements when making the reservation so appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

Can I book transportation from LAX to Disneyland with car seats?

Yes. Thomas Transportation provides scheduled private transportation between LAX and Disneyland Resort/Anaheim, including options for families traveling with luggage, strollers and child-seat requests.

Can I request more than one child seat?

Families traveling with multiple young children should tell us exactly what they need when reserving. We can discuss seat availability, passenger count, luggage requirements and an appropriate vehicle configuration before the trip.

Does Uber have car seats in Los Angeles?

Uber currently offers a specific Uber Car Seat reservation option in Los Angeles. Uber states that Car Seat rides currently include one car seat per vehicle. Can I bring my own car seat?

Yes. Families who prefer to travel with their own child safety seats are welcome to do so.

Does Thomas Transportation provide transportation to Anaheim?

Yes. Thomas Transportation serves Disneyland Resort, Anaheim hotels and destinations throughout Anaheim and Orange County.

Can larger families travel together?

Yes. Thomas Transportation offers multiple vehicle options, including larger Transit vans accommodating up to 10 passengers. Passenger count, luggage, strollers and child-seat requirements should be discussed when reserving so we can recommend an appropriate option.

TSA Shutdown Causing Airport Delays: What Southern California Travelers Need to Know

TSA Shutdown Causing Airport Delays: What Southern California Travelers Need to Know

Travelers across the U.S. are beginning to experience longer airport security lines as the ongoing government shutdown impacts TSA staffing.

While airports are still operating, the situation is becoming less predictable, especially during busy travel periods like spring break.

What’s Happening Right Now

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is currently operating with reduced workforce stability:

Over 50,000 TSA agents are working without pay
Absences have increased significantly
Some airports are reporting 2–3+ hour wait times
Travel demand remains high nationwide

Even when lines look manageable, delays can spike quickly depending on staffing and flight volume.

What This Means for LAX & Southern California Airports

Airports like LAX, John Wayne (SNA), Long Beach (LGB), Burbank (BUR), and Ontario (ONT) are not immune.

While delays may not be constant, travelers should expect:

Sudden increases in TSA wait times
Longer lines during peak morning and evening hours
Fewer open screening lanes at times

The biggest issue right now isn’t just delays, it’s unpredictability.

How to Avoid Missing Your Flight

Here’s what we’re recommending to all travelers right now:

Arrive 2.5–3 hours before departure (even for domestic flights)
Avoid cutting your timing close
Build in extra buffer time for traffic and security

Why Transportation Matters More Right Now

With TSA wait times fluctuating, getting to the airport late is riskier than ever.

Reliable, scheduled transportation helps eliminate one major variable.

Travel Stress-Free with Thomas Transportation

Thomas Transportation provides:

Curbside airport pickup & drop-off
Service to LAX, SNA, LGB, BUR, and ONT
Clean vehicles and professional drivers
Scheduled pickups so you arrive early and prepared

Final Thought

Right now, travel isn’t necessarily broken but it requires better planning.

Giving yourself extra time and removing uncertainty wherever possible is the best way to stay on schedule.

Real-Time Ride Tracking: Peace of Mind for Every Thomas Transportation Reservation

When you book transportation, you’re not just reserving a ride, you’re trusting someone with your time, your plans, and often the people who matter most.

At Thomas Transportation, we believe exceptional service goes beyond providing a comfortable vehicle and a professional chauffeur. That’s why every reservation includes access to our real-time ride tracking system, giving both the booking contact and the passenger greater confidence throughout the journey.

Know Where Your Driver Is, Before Pickup

Whether you’re booking transportation for yourself, a family member, a friend, an employee, or an important client, you’ll receive a secure tracking link that allows you to follow your driver’s progress in real time.

Instead of wondering if your driver is nearby or when they’ll arrive, you’ll know.

Our tracking technology provides live updates so you can:

See your driver’s location as they travel to the pickup.
Monitor estimated arrival times.
Plan the perfect time to head outside.
Eliminate unnecessary phone calls and uncertainty.

It’s another way we make travel simpler, smoother, and less stressful.

Confidence When Booking for Someone Else

Many of our customers book rides for others.

Parents arrange airport transportation for their college students. Adult children schedule rides for aging parents. Executive assistants coordinate travel for company leaders. Businesses reserve transportation for clients and guests. Hotels, medical offices, and travel planners trust us with the people they serve.

In each of these situations, communication is just as important as the ride itself.

Our real-time tracking links allow the booking contact to stay informed before pickup, providing added confidence that everything is on schedule and professionally managed. As well as a live dispatch team to call or text.

Your Loved Ones Matter

Whether you’re sending a spouse to the airport before sunrise, arranging transportation for grandparents, coordinating a cruise vacation, or ensuring a teenager arrives safely at an event, it’s comforting to know exactly when your professional chauffeur is arriving.

While your passenger enjoys a comfortable, safe, and reliable ride, you can have peace of mind knowing the trip is being professionally coordinated from start to finish.

Perfect for Airport and Cruise Transportation

Real-time tracking is especially valuable for airport and cruise transportation throughout Southern California.

Whether you’re traveling to or from LAX, John Wayne Airport (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), Ontario International Airport (ONT), Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), the Carnival Cruise Terminal in Long Beach, or the World Cruise Center in San Pedro, our tracking system helps make every pickup more predictable and convenient.

The Human Touch

Technology should make service more personal, not less.

Our ride tracking system is designed to keep everyone informed while our experienced chauffeurs and dispatch team focus on delivering the outstanding customer service Thomas Transportation is known for.

From the moment your reservation is confirmed until your destination is reached, we’re committed to providing clear communication, dependable service, and genuine care for every passenger.

Because at Thomas Transportation, we’re not just moving people, we’re helping families stay connected, businesses operate smoothly, and travelers begin and end every trip with confidence.

Los Angeles Is Officially in World Cup Mode – Here's What Travelers Should Know

Los Angeles Is Officially in World Cup Mode – Here's What Travelers Should Know

If you've driven around Los Angeles lately, you've probably noticed it already. International jerseys at LAX. Packed sports bars. Increased traffic around Inglewood. Fans speaking dozens of languages taking pictures at beaches, landmarks, and stadiums. The FIFA World Cup 2026 has arrived, and Southern California is once again taking center stage on the world stage.

For visitors, it's an unforgettable experience. For locals, it's exciting to watch Los Angeles welcome guests from every corner of the globe. For travelers, however, one question quickly becomes apparent:

How do you actually get around Los Angeles during the World Cup?

As a locally owned transportation company based in Southern California, we've already begun seeing increased interest from visitors looking for dependable airport transfers, private car service, and group transportation options.

Flying Into LAX During the World Cup

Los Angeles International Airport is expected to handle a significant increase in passengers throughout the tournament. Between international arrivals, connecting flights, delayed baggage, and rideshare surge pricing, navigating LAX can quickly become overwhelming.

At Thomas Transportation, many World Cup travelers are choosing LAX Curbside Pickup rather than waiting for shared transportation or using the LAX-it lot.

Our chauffeurs monitor incoming flights, communicate directly with passengers, and meet travelers at designated pickup areas to help simplify the arrival process.

For visitors unfamiliar with Los Angeles, having an assigned driver waiting can often make the first day of a trip considerably easier.

More Than Just Stadium Transportation

While SoFi Stadium is naturally a focal point during the World Cup, most visitors are building an entire Southern California vacation around the event.

Many guests are combining matches with visits to:

Disneyland Resort
Santa Monica Pier
Hollywood
Beverly Hills
Universal Studios Hollywood
Anaheim
Long Beach
San Pedro Cruise Port
Downtown Los Angeles

Because of this, we've seen increased demand for executive Sprinter vans, luxury SUVs, and Express Class minivans that provide flexibility for families, supporters' groups, and international travelers carrying additional luggage.

Why Private Transportation Is Becoming More Popular

Los Angeles was built around the automobile, and while public transit continues to improve, moving around the city during a major global event presents unique challenges.

Visitors often tell us they appreciate:

Knowing exactly who their driver will be
Flight tracking for airport arrivals
Child seat availability
Space for luggage and merchandise
Avoiding surge pricing
Traveling together as a group
The convenience of door-to-door service

World Cup travel should be about enjoying the atmosphere, not worrying about parking, traffic patterns, or navigating an unfamiliar city.

Welcoming the World to Southern California

As soccer fans ourselves, it's exciting to watch Los Angeles host one of the largest sporting events in history. Whether you're here for a single match, supporting Team USA, following your home country, or turning the tournament into a family vacation, we hope you enjoy everything Southern California has to offer.

Thomas Transportation is proud to help visitors experience Los Angeles in comfort and style.

Burbank Airport Traffic Alert (April–June 2026): What Travelers Need to Know

Tue, 07 Apr 2026 17:58:01 GMT

Burbank Airport Traffic Alert (April–June 2026): What Travelers Need to Know

If you’re planning to fly out of Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) this spring, there’s an important update that could impact your travel time.

Beginning April 6 through June 6, 2026, construction near the airport will cause lane closures and potential traffic delays along one of the main access roads.

What’s Happening at Burbank Airport

Construction crews will close one southbound lane on Hollywood Way near Thornton Avenue, one of the primary routes into BUR.

Details:

Dates: April 6 – June 6, 2026
Schedule: Monday through Saturday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Impact: Reduced traffic flow and possible delays entering the airport

In addition, the sidewalk and bike lane on the west side of Hollywood Way will also be closed between Winona Ave and Thornton Ave.

Best Ways to Access BUR During Construction

To help minimize delays, travelers are encouraged to:

Use the Empire Avenue entrance when possible
Enter via Thornton Avenue (westbound access)
Allow extra time, especially during mid-day travel hours

Even though BUR is typically one of the fastest and most convenient airports in Southern California, this temporary construction could change that—especially for departures.

How Early Should You Arrive?

We recommend arriving:

At least 2 hours before domestic flights
Earlier if traveling during peak construction hours (late morning to early afternoon)

Giving yourself a buffer will help avoid unnecessary stress, especially if traffic backs up near the terminal entrance.

Skip the Traffic Stress with Private Transportation

One of the easiest ways to avoid construction headaches is to use a private car service with direct curbside drop-off.

At Thomas Transportation, we provide:

Curbside pickup and drop-off at BUR (no shuttle zones or delays)
Real-time route adjustments based on traffic conditions
Spacious vehicles for families, groups, and luggage
Reliable, on-time service throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and surrounding areas

Whether you’re heading to BUR, LAX, SNA, Long Beach, or Ontario Airport, we make airport transportation simple and stress-free.

Disneyland is getting even more exciting.

With 7 new rides and attractions officially announced, the Disneyland Resort is entering a major expansion phase — bringing fresh experiences to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

For families, couples, and travelers planning a trip to Southern California, this is big news.

But it also means one thing…

Bigger crowds, more demand, and more planning needed.

Let’s break down what this means — and how to make your Disneyland trip smooth from the moment you land.

What’s Coming to Disneyland

Disney has announced multiple new attractions as part of a long-term expansion across the resort. While some details are still under wraps, this development includes:

New rides tied to popular franchises
Expansions to existing themed lands
New immersive guest experiences
Additional park space approved for future use

Some of these projects are already under construction, while others are expected to open in phases over the coming years.

Translation: More reasons to visit — but also more people visiting.

What This Means for Your Trip

With new attractions comes increased demand — especially during:

Spring Break
Summer
Holidays
Weekends

You can expect:

Longer wait times
Heavier traffic around Anaheim
More crowded airport arrivals (especially LAX)

That’s why planning how you get to Disneyland is just as important as planning your park days.

Best Airports for Disneyland

Choosing the right airport can make a big difference:

LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)

Usually the cheapest flights
Most direct options
BUT… busiest and most chaotic

SNA (John Wayne Airport)

Closest to Disneyland (~20 min)
Much easier and cleaner experience

Long Beach (LGB)

Small, fast, and very convenient
Great alternative if available

Ontario (ONT)

Underrated and very smooth airport
Great option for Inland Empire travelers
About 40–50 minutes to Disneyland depending on traffic

Burbank (BUR)

Easy airport, but farther from Disneyland

No matter which airport you choose, your transportation experience can make or break the start of your trip.

Why Private Transportation Makes a Huge Difference

Why Uber & Lyft Are Getting More Expensive in 2026 (And What Travelers Can Do Instead)

Wed, 25 Mar 2026 18:19:50 GMT

Los Angeles Is Officially in World Cup Mode – Here's What Travelers Should Know

Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft have long been a convenient option for getting to and from the airport. But in 2026, travelers across Southern California—especially those heading to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)—are noticing a shift:

Rides are getting more expensive and less predictable.

From new airport fees to surge pricing and longer wait times, the cost of using rideshare is rising—and it’s changing how people plan their transportation.

Uber & Lyft Prices Are Rising—Here’s Why

Over the past year, rideshare costs have steadily increased due to several factors:

Increased Demand

More travelers, major events, and peak travel windows continue to push prices higher.

Surge Pricing

Busy times like early mornings, evenings, and holidays can significantly increase fares.

New LAX Fees (Up to $12 Per Trip)

LAX has approved new rideshare access fees totaling up to $12 per trip, which are expected to be passed directly to travelers once fully implemented.

These fees are tied to airport access and future curbside pickup changes, and will likely increase the total cost of rides to and from LAX.

Longer Wait Times

With congestion and pickup systems like LAX-it, travelers are often waiting longer—sometimes paying more for the inconvenience.

The Real Cost of Rideshare to LAX

While rideshare may seem like the easiest option, the total cost can add up quickly:

Base fare + surge pricing
Airport access fees
Peak-hour pricing (especially 4–6pm & late nights)
Time spent waiting or walking to pickup zones

A ride that used to cost $60–$80 can now easily exceed $100+ depending on timing and demand.

Why Travelers Are Rethinking Rideshare

More travelers are starting to reconsider rideshare for airport trips due to:

Unpredictable pricing
Inconsistent driver availability
Pickup confusion at LAX
Limited space for luggage or larger groups
No guaranteed child seat options

For families, groups, or business travelers, these issues can turn a simple ride into a stressful experience.

A Better Alternative: Private Airport Transportation

As rideshare costs rise, many travelers are switching to private transportation services in Los Angeles for a more reliable experience.

Flat-Rate Pricing - Know your price upfront—no surprises, no surge.
Scheduled Pickups - Your ride is confirmed and on time—no waiting or last-minute cancellations.
Curbside Pickup Options - Skip the LAX-it shuttle and get picked up directly at the terminal when available.
Ideal for Families & Groups - Spacious vehicles with room for luggage, plus child seats available upon request.
Professional & Reliable - Clean vehicles, experienced drivers, and consistent service every time.

When Rideshare Still Makes Sense

Rideshare can still be useful for:

Short local trips
Solo travelers with minimal luggage
Non-peak travel times

But for airport transportation—especially to and from LAX—many travelers are finding it less reliable and more expensive than expected.

Planning Your Next Trip to LAX

If you’re traveling to or from:

LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)
John Wayne Airport (SNA)
Long Beach Airport (LGB)
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)
Ontario International Airport (ONT)
Disneyland & Anaheim Resorts
Cruise Ports: Long Beach & San Pedro

planning your transportation in advance can save time, money, and stress.
